The Indiana Pacers competed their Summer League schedule from Las Vegas on Sunday with a loss to the Phoenix Suns. The Pacers struggled offensively scoring just 69 points in the contest without Bennedict Mathurin, Terry Taylor and Chris Duarte. Those three players, alongside Isaiah Jackson and Duane Washington Jr., did not play in a coach’s decision. Second round pick Kendall Brown was the only Pacers player with more than three field goals. The one-and-done player from Baylor had eight points and three rebounds on 4-of-8 shooting. Aaron Nesmith and Andrew Nembhard started in the backcourt and both players struggled to score. Indiana finishes Summer League 2-3 in its five games.
Anther game, another tough loss for the Indiana Fever. The Fever fell to the Seattle Storm 81-65 on Sunday for their ninth loss in a row. Like many games recently, the Fever once again struggled to put the ball in the basket. As a team, Indiana was just 24-of-66 from beyond the arc and they knocked down just four of their 24 three point attempts. The free throw line wasn’t much kinder as the Fever made just 65 percent of their shots from the charity stripe. Nalyssa Smith all Fever scores with 15 points accompanied by nine rebounds. The Fever hit the road for the upcoming portion of the schedule with games in Los Angeles in Las Vegas over the next four days.
