Philip Grannan

Philip R. Grannan, 85, of Washington, Indiana, passed away July 12, 2022. He was born in Washington, Indiana, on August 27, 1936, to Paul and Mildred (Raney) Grannan. On August 4, 1962, Philip married the love of his life, Sharon Webber of Washington, Indiana, and she survives.
During their nearly sixty years of marriage, Philip and Sharon created a loving home for each other and their two sons: Paul Eric (Cheryl) Grannan of Centerville, Ohio and Kurt Allen (Brenda) Grannan of Cincinnati, Ohio. Known to be a devoted family man, Philip eagerly awaited and welcomed four beloved grandchildren: Nicholas, Julia, Cole and Ava.
Philip was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mildred Grannan; his brother, Paul Terry Grannan; and his sister, Georgianna (Grannan) Borders.
Philip served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. He worked Procurement and Materials for the Chrysler Corporation in Dayton, Ohio, and Materials at the General Dynamics Tank Plant in Lima, Ohio prior to his retirement in April 1994. Additionally, Philip was a member of the St. Charles Catholic Church and the American Legion in Lima, Ohio.
Philip enjoyed many things in life, but, most of all, he loved his family.

There will be a private visitation for immediate family only at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary, North Chapel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. Father Paul Ferguson will be the celebrant.
Interment will follow in the St. John Cemetery where the Washington American Legion and VFW will accord military honors.
