A motorcycle pursuit ended with an arrest in Orange County.
On Wednesday, just before 8:00 pm, Indiana State Police attempted to stop a motorcycle in French Lick for distracted driving.
Police say the driver, identified as Ricky Daugherty of Taswell, refused to stop.
The motorcycle left the roadway, driving through a yard. Daugherty then fled on foot.
He was later taken into custody without further incident and was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.
He also had an arrest warrant out of Crawford County.
Daugherty was given a chemical test at IU Health Paoli and tested positive for several drugs.
He was then booked into the Orange County Jail and charged with Resisting Law Enforcement with a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, and Operating While Intoxicated with a Controlled Substance.
