Area Volunteer Fire Departments Share in DNR Grant

Several volunteer fire departments in the WAMW listening area have received Volunteer Fire Assistance grants awarded by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.  The DNR awarded a total of $320,00 in grants.
Volunteer Fire Departments receiving the grants include the Elnora-Elmore Volunteer Fire Department in Daviess County, the Oakland City Fire Department in Gibson County, the Center-Jackson Fire Territory in Greene County, Martin County Fire and Rescue in Martin County, the Peteresburg Fire Department and the Jefferson Township Fire Department in Pike County, and the Vincennes Township and Palmyra Township Fire Departments in Knox County.    Altogether, 76 Volunteer Fire Departments in 47 counties shared in the DNR grants.
