Carolyn Sue Trowbridge

Mrs. Carolyn “Sue” Trowbridge, 85, of Washington, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2020.
Carolyn was born Nov. 6, 1934, in Bloomington, Indiana, to the late Gilbert Lemon and Maudeleen Kale Lemon.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, and attending Bethany Christian Church. Sue was a secretary for Bloomington’s Westinghouse Corporation, and then in 1965 moved to Plant City, Florida, where she was a secretary in the phosphate mining industry. After spending several years there she and her husband Arthur made the decision to move back to Washington, Indiana, so they would be able to be a part of their grandchild’s life and watch him grow up, and that is just what they did.
Sue leaves behind her adoring husband, Arthur R. Trowbridge; son Mark Hudson (Deborah); grandson Barry Hudson (Jennifer); great-grandchildren Elyn and Ace Hudson; a brother, Jack Lemon of Maryland; and several nieces and nephews.
She is also preceded in death by two brothers, Forrest Lemon and Herbert Lemon; and one sister, Mary Alice Naylor.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 3, 2020, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Tom Watson officiating at Gill Funeral Home. The family will be receiving visitors from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Online condolences for the family may be left at www.gillsince1872.com
