First Responders Have Busy Weekend

On Saturday, around 2 p.m., the Sheriff’s Department recevied a call reporting that a fuel truck had hit a pot hole on CR 350 E, and had overturned stricking an REMC pole.  The driver, Garrett Ashby of Washington, was transported to the hospital and released after examination.   The WTVFD also responded to the accident. 
    About 7:50 p.m. Saturday evening, the Sheriff’s Department received a report of a white Chevrolet Impala on its side on County Road 200 N.  Four passengers were trapped in the vehicle.  All four passengers had been wearing seat belts and were able to be extricated from the wreck uninjured.   The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
   Then a little after midnight Sunday morning, Daviess County Dispatch received a call reporting a car on fire on CR 400 S.  The Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department and the Veale Township Volunteer Fire Departments were dispatched to the sceen.  No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
