Hatchets Score Late, Win 34-27 at Princeton

The Washington Hatchets football team evened their season record at 3-3 and spoiled the host Princeton Tiger’s homecoming 34-27 Friday night.   Trailing 27-14 going into the 4th quarter, Washington quarterback Trey Reed led the Hatchets to three fourth-quarter touchdowns.  Washington’s final drive covered 67 yards in 1:12 on nine plays.  The winning touchdown was a ten yard pass from Reed to Nate Aldrich.   The win evens the Hatchets season record at 3-3, and gives Washington its second consecutive win.  The Hatchets travel to Heritage Hills next week. 
    In other area football action:  The North Daviess came up on the short end of a 50-14 score in the Cougars annual game with the Linton Miners.  The Cougars are now 4-1 for the season.
  Vincennes Lincoln’s Alices defeated Evansville Harrison 32-14 Friday night…North Knox plays Rensselaer Central at Covington at 5:00 p.m. this evening,  and the Pike Central Chargers were idle list night and will face Tell City next week.
