Tropical Storm Sally will have minimal affects on Indiana

Tropical Storm Sally will likely be a hurricane when it makes landfall and affects the Louisiana and Mississippi coasts. But, any impact in Indiana will likely be minimal, says the National Weather Service.
“As of now, not anything major,” explained forecaster Tara Dudzik, with the Indianapolis office. “We do have some shower and thunderstorm chances in the forecast for Thursday. But, those are kind of low confidence.”
Dudzik said that a high pressure system will push into the state and may keep Sally to the south.
“So, as of now impacts appear to be minimal.”
She said if you do get any weather from Sally, it will likely be what Indiana would normally get from a tropical system, which would be mostly rain.
