On Saturday, the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department received a call from a citizen in the Maysville area regarding the location of possible human remains. Deputies and investigators from the Sheriff’s Office and Indiana State Police responded to the scene locating human remains along Hawkins Creek, Easy if County Road 300 West.
The investigation is in it’s early stages and forensic testing will be needed before a determination or identification can be made. No times frame has been given as to when these tests will be completed.
The Sheriff’s Office says they cannot currently link the remains to Dan Grannan who went missing in August of 2019. The Grannan Family has been notified as a courtesy.
