North Daviess Community Schools said in a press release they have been in close contact with the Daviess County Health Department and the Health Department does not feel that the current number of students and staff within North Daviess Community Schools justify making any changes to current operations. As of now they are operating in the “green” level.
In addition to communications with the Daviess County Health Department, the North Daviess administration monitors the number of students and staff who test positive for the virus or people who have been in close contact. They will continue to monitor the situation and make decisions that take into account the best interests of students and staff.
As of 3:30 PM on Thursday zero students are in quarantine due to a positive test and zero staff members are in quarantine due to a positive test. Some students are absent as a result of contact tracing through the Dept of Health and, therefore, are in isolation as a precautionary measure. The Daviess County Health Department will only notify those students who have had direct close contact with a confirmed positive person.
