The Veale Fire District responded to a report of hay bales on fire over the weekend. The fire was inside of a barn on county road 150 E 675 south. Assisting departments include the Southeast Fire district, and the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Dept. The Daviess Community Hospital Ambulance Service and Daviess County EMA were also on the scene. No injuries were reported, and the cause is undetermined. The fire is still under investigation. The barn and contents of the barn were a total loss.
