On Friday at 4pm members of the Daviess-Martin County REMC went on strike demanding better wages and benefits. Employees had also planned to form a picket line on the following Labor Day Monday. On Saturday around 4pm the company agreed to the Union members demands and accepted the offer. Workers returned to work that evening and the picket line that was scheduled for Monday was called off. The matter has been officially closed.
