Pike County School Corporation observing eLearning days today and tomorrow

The Pike County School Corporation has said that they will observe eLearning days on Thursday, September 3 and Friday, September 4. This is due to the fact that a significant number of staff members and students have been identified as close contacts to positive cases and as a result the absentee rate is climbing while individuals adhere to the quarantine guidelines.
When school resumes on Tuesday, September 8th, after the Labor Day weekend, they will be following their Yellow Plan, as defined in the reopening plan posted on the school websites. They will remain on the Yellow Plan through September 25th.   The Yellow Plan represents a hybrid learning model where students are divided into two groups and attend school on an alternating schedule. If local conditions warrant an extension or change of plan, parents will be notified as soon as the decision is made. At this time, all athletics and school activities will continue as planned.  Visitor access to the buildings will remain at a restricted level.
Pike County schools ask parents to please be sure to monitor your email account for additional information throughout the school year. To view the full plan or to find more information, visit the Pike County Schools website or Facebook page.
