Man Charged With Arson in Birdseye, IN Fire

A Dubois County man has been arrested in connection with an alleged arson in Birdseye, Indiana.
36-year-old Adam Hensley of Birdseye is charged with Felony Arson and Residential Entry and with Misdemeanor Criminal Mischief after a joint investigation by the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana State Police and State Fire Marshall’s Office.
Based on information collected by Trooper Brock Werne in a separate residential entry and theft incident Monday, Hensley was determined to be a suspect. The State Fire Marshall had also suspected Hensley was the person who allegedly started a fire at the historic Koerner Block Building last Friday, then escaped from the fire and had a witness call 911.
Hensley was located Monday and arrested.  He is due in court today to face charges.
